Artists portrait of Edward Hopper

Edward Hopper

  • Born: 22. July 1882 in Nyack
  • Died: 15. May 1967
Since the epoch of the Renaissance, Realism has become a recurring movement in art, which because of its variety, ranks above different styles and style periods. The painter Edward Hopper played a central role in American Realism. Born on July 22nd, 1882 in Nyack, New York, he created motifs of people in small towns and landscapes, usually placed in motionless surroundings, filled with quietness and melancholy. This quiet atmosphere was the main stylistic device of his paintings, which ,with their distant coolness and strength, had become a forerunner of Photorealism. When Hopper died on May 15th, 1967 in New York, no one imagined that he had established an almost timeless lifetime achievement, which gained more and more attention the 1970´s onwards.
The pictures are predominantly assigned to the art direction Realism.
The art works of the artist are dominated by the colors pastel, gray and black.

Art Prints

We deliver exclusively art prints from well-known art publishers in brilliant quality, such as the art print »Nighthawks, 1942« from Edward Hopper. Classic art prints are normally produced by offset or screen printing. In this case, often also spot colours and embossments are used.

Stretcher on canvas

Our canvas prints are handmade in our own workshop. Either the canvas print or the art print laminated on a canvas is stretched onto a quality keyless frame. Perfectly wedged and provided with a suspension, the canvas image can be hung directly. Optionally, we also offer each canvas picture framed, i.e. with floater frame. »Portrait of Orleans, 1950« of Edward Hopper as a canvas image also beautifies your home.

Framed pictures

We frame almost every picture. You can choose from many different frames. Passepartouts are just as much a part of your choice as are various options for surface protection. So »Hotel room, 1931« of Edward Hopper becomes a highlight for your living room or bedroom.
