Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I do hope you enjoy viewing my photos. A little about me. Friends have said I was born with 'itchy digits' - I have a passion for travelling and will take off to new places whenever I can (within the confines of a full time job). I have been fortunate to travel to some wonderful places and, through that, and a desire to capture my travel memories in pictures, I developed a passion for photography. In the early days I used a 'point and shoot' compact camera, always set to Auto mode so the camera did all the 'thinking'. In October 2011, after an incredible trip to South West America, I decided to get more serious about taking the kind of photographs I always enjoyed seeing from others. So I ventured into the realms of DSLR photography and started teaching myself all I could, mostly from reading books and lots of practice out in the field. My first DSLR was a Nikon D5100, a fabulous beginner's camera, before then upgrading to the D800 then D800E. I generally now carry the following additional items in my camera bag: Nikon 14-24mm f2.8 lens Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 lens Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 lens Nikon 300mm f2.8 lens Nikon 1.4x and 2x teleconverters Various filters Between that little lot, I find myself prepared for most opportunities! Most of my photos are for sale and license should you be interested in a particular print.
